Spring Clean Your Hair
IT'S TIME TO SPRING CLEAN YOUR HAIR.
If you've started reading this article then congratulations - it's means that you've survived most of the Winter and Spring is officially here….or once we get over the Seasons confusion with the weather it will be in jussssssttt a few weeks.
However having endured the colder winter months and whipping winds that came with it this year your hair will no doubt be showing the effects.
Regardless of how well you look after your hair it's almost impossible for any mere mortal to come out of the Winter Season without their hair suffering from dreaded split ends, fading colour , dry dehydrated hair , let only escaping an irritated scalp.
These aforementioned hair woes is at the top of all our guests hair care dilemmas at the moment here at PELLO HAIRDRESSING .
But don't worry we will make sure that you'll be Springing into Spring with your new fresh look.
Our Style Director Katie has come to your rescue this week with her 4 step-plan to get your strands soft, shiny and healthy.
Here are Katie's tress relieving Tips :
RULE NO 1.DETOX YOUR SCALP.
“This is key “ says Katie “you need to start from the top by using a great DETOX or cleansing shampoo so that you have a clean canvas to work with.
Use a scalp brush that is specifically designed for this purpose in order to stimulate a health circulation by increasing a good health blood flow.Katie adds “ this encourages new follicle growth, which means that your hair will grow in much thicker and stronger for the months ahead”.
“You should really kick start it by treating yourself to one of our amazing Botanical Hair Spa Here at Pello Hairdressing which I will personally do myself and include a wonderful Indian head massage and equally relaxing hand massage while you sip your organic green tea”...says Katie
RULE NO 2.SEAL IN MOISTURE
“If there was ever a time during the year that your hair , skin or body needs hydration , it's now” says Katie.
Use a product that is loaded with plants and flower based ingredients .Start by working it through your hair from miss length to ends and then wrap in a hot towel
.Leave for up to 15 mins and rinse thoroughly. These mask are specially for hydration purpose and are so essential this time of year.
RULE 3. KEEP IT SHINY.
“Now “,says Katie” that you've invested in a great mask KEEP up the good work by adding a good daily shampoo and conditioner to your new Spring hair care collection. “Again Katie says “KEEP it plant and flower based as these are designed to undo the effects of the environmental elements and will replenish parched strands without weighing them down”.
RULE 4.REPAIR SPLIT ENDS.
Winter is definitely the culprit that created the split ends.Invest in your split end hair repair (and honestly you can purchase great products that are specially designed for this purpose)
It does what it says on the can.. repairs split ends .” Seek and you shall find “ says Katie.
“This is that vital finishing touch”. Yet again go for plant based products which are infused with natural dry oils that will seal that cuticle perfectly and won't make your hair heavy or dull just super shine and extra glossy.
Finally add a spritz of hair sun - protection so that when that sun does start shining you'll be so ready for it.
Thank you for reading and that's the top tips from Katie this week for the Pello Hairdressing team.
